Tom Simeo

Director

Tom Simeo, a corporate lawyer and investment banker, founded Viking Investments in 1993. Mr. Simeo has advised clients on international mergers and acquisitions as well as provided clients with funding exceeding several hundred million dollars. Mr. Simeo initiated, structured and participated in numerous successful reverse mergers and has been instrumental in obtaining public listings for several companies in the United States.
 

Following the collapse of the Soviet Union in the early nineties, Mr. Simeo participated in the privatization process in Eastern Europe where he led a team of investors and advisers who successfully acquired previously state owned companies exceeding several hundred million dollars. Between the years of 1993 and 2004, based in New York City and London, Mr. Simeo initiated, advised and structured foreign investments in publicly listed companies in the United States and was a special counsel on international corporate finance to a New York City based law firm. From the early eighties to 1990, Mr. Simeo was a practicing lawyer in Sweden.

 

Mr. Simeo is successfully establishing Viking Investments as a leader within cross continental reverse mergers between China and the United States. Mr. Simeo is a graduate (Jur. kand. Am. Juris Doctor equivalent) from the University of Lund, Sweden. Mr. Simeo has also studied law at Stockholm University and International Economy at Upsala University in Sweden.

 

 

 

Gordon S.F. Lin

Director and CFO

 

Mr. Lin brings to SinoCubate 20 years of work experience and education in international corporate finance and legal, as controller and auditor.  Mr. Lin is a senior professional with international background and with his skills and knowledge; he is well suited as an excellent team member of SinoCubate.


Most recent, Mr. Lin was financial supervisor for several Chinese privately held companies pursuing publicly listings.


Between the years of 2007 to 2010, Mr. Lin was located in the United States and assisted several Chinese based companies to obtain financing in conjunction with or before their listing in the US.  Meanwhile, Mr. Lin was the consultant mentor and provided management consulting to a number of entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations.


Prior to living in the US, Mr. Lin worked for ten years in PricewaterhouseCoopers, of which he spent 5 years in Taipei and 5 years in Shanghai. With PWC Mr. Lin held various senior positions and left the firm as a Senior Manager.  Before becoming a Senior Manager with PWC, Mr. Lin worked as an auditor, business consultant and tax planner.


As a Senior Manager in the Shanghai office, Mr. Lin provided the total service of auditing, accounting, tax and follow up the IPO program for more than 80 Wholly-Foreign-Owned subsidiary companies, Sino-joint venture and Co-operative companies whose headquarter companies were located in USA, Canada, France, Germany, Sweden, England, Hong Kong, and Singapore etc. Besides, he provided a complete consultant services to many Chinese listed and pre-listing companies and their subsidiaries.

 

Further, Mr. Lin was responsible for the Taiwan Desk of the Shanghai office, which handled more than 300 clients, either listed or pre-listed companies. Moreover, Mr. Lin oversaw the daily management of more than 50 staff members, including one junior manager, two deputy managers, and 12 field work team leaders.


After PWC, Mr. Lin has held various financial positions in Chinese and Taiwanese companies and participated in pre-listing procedures and completion of listings. 

   
Mr. Lin majored in Economic Law, and has a Master of Law LL.M., from East China Politics and Law University.  Mr. Lin also has a major in accounting and graduated as Bachelor in accounting from the National Cheng Zhi University of Taiwan. 


Mr. Lin also majored in Business Consulting with The China Production Power Center of Taiwan and received the Certificate of Consultant Mentor.

 

 

 

 

Dr. Wei-Wei Zhang

Director


Wei-Wei Zhang, MD, PhD is an entrepreneur, resource placement, business developer, and corporate executive, with enduring records of technology innovation, strategic partnering, product commercialization, financing, and venture management from startup to public listing in the biosciences and the Sino-American transactions.Dr. Zhang, is currently the CEO of Burrill Adventin Capital Management Ltd., founded in 2011. 

 

Dr. Zhang has founded and co-founded 8 biotechnology companies (Introgen Therapeutics Inc., Shenzhen SiBiono, GenStar Therapeutics, GenWay Biotech, Zhuhai Bioinforbody, Adventin Inc., Acrotics and eBioCenter Corporations) and established two corporate and academic R&D units. With 20+ years of biopharma R&D, business development, and marketing/sales experience, Dr. Zhang played CSO and CEO positions in those companies. Dr. Zhang has completed several successful cases in fund-raising, project financing, strategic partnering, private equity investments, through interactions with angel, venture capital, investment banks, governmental funds, and security exchanges.

 
Dr. Zhang has made significant contributions to the research and life science communities by creating numerous collaborations, developing novel products, launching innovative marketing campaigns, and managing numerous growing business units. Since 1989, Dr. Zhang has published more than 65 peer-reviewed articles and has been invited to write major review articles and to deliver presentations in numerous national and international antibody and gene therapy conferences.  Dr. Zhang has 16 patents either issued or pending.  He has also been active in various social and professional associations, especially taking the leadership in overseas Chinese organizations, such as Presidents of US-China Entrepreneurs Associations and Mu Yun Society.


Dr. Zhang obtained his M.D. degree in 1982 and M.S. of Toxicology in 1985 from Zhejiang University in China.  He came to the United States 1986 in pursuit of PhD in molecular biology.  After acquired his PhD degree in 1989, Dr. Zhang fulfilled his postdoctoral and junior faculty training by 1992 in gene manipulation and transfer at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston Texas, USA.

 

 

 

 

Elle Zhong

General Manager


Elle Zhong brings to SinoCubate 6 years of Chinese and international experience from the field of corporate finance to include debt and equity, such as but not limited to PE, PIPE, IPO and other various forms of financing. 

 

Before joining SinoCubate, Ms. Zhong was with Viking Investments for the past five years, where she worked closely with the senior management related to all the facets of listing and financing Chinese companies in the United States.  Ms. Zhong’s analytical and professional approach and other valuable professional skills was extraordinary contributions to the successful listing and financing of China Wood in the United States. 


Before joining Viking, Elle Zhong worked with several Chinese finance and securities firms and most notably, was instrumental in raising RMB 3billion for a large Motel project in China 2003.


Elle Zhong graduated from Shanghai Engineering Technology University with major Business Administration. She also has a Chinese securities business qualification certificate.


Ms. Zhong is very familiar with investments and securities related businesses and transactions, and has a comprehensive understanding of securities, investment policies, and corporate governance, which has proven to be of great importance when communicating with local entrepreneurs in China in their endeavors to achieve financing and listing in the United States. Ms. Zhong has been involved with China's stock market for more than a decade and has a wealth of successful investment experience. 

 

 

 

 

Howard Lee

Managing Director, Business Development


Mr. Lee brings to SinoCubate more than 20 years of professional experience as business developer and consultant in international finance and other industries, ranging from OTCBB listed companies to many Fortune 500 companies in the United States.Prior to joining SinoCubate, Mr. Lee worked as an International Consultant related to various types of financing, such as but not limited to Private Equity, debt and PIPE transactions for private and publicly listed companies in the United States. Mr. Lee has developed strong working relationships with numerous strong Chinese and Taiwanese companies that have the potential to access the United States financial markets and ultimately become publicly listed companies in the United States.


Before becoming an independent consultant, Mr. Lee has held senior financial and management positions with multinational firms in United States, mainland China and Taiwan. Before becoming an independent consultant, Mr. was a Vice President of Finance and Business Development with Express Logic Company, which post he held until the company merged with a high-technology company.

 

Prior to his position with Express Logic, Mr. Lee was with Infinite Technology, a publicly listed company in New York City, responsible for all aspects of external financing. While with Infinite, Mr. Lee accomplished to obtain successful rounds of financing for the company as needed.


In early years, Mr. Lee held several positions with Texas Instruments, latest as the International Operation Manager and with AT&T as a manager of the company’s financial system, being one of the world’s largest Long Distance Network System. Mr. Lee is very familiar with the industry of Semi-Conductor, Solar Energy and Automobile.


Mr. Lee has an M.B.A. in Finance from Texas A & I University, Texas, USA
and a Bachelor of Science in Brigham Young University, Utah, USA

Frank Luo

General Counsel


Mr. Frank Luo brings to SinoCubate his extraordinary legal, due diligence, communication and negotiating skills from various industries ranging from smaller privately held to large multinational publicly listed enterprises. Mr. Luo is an expert on international contract law, Chinese taxation law and has extensive accounting knowledge.


Most recent, Mr. Luo advised the Agricultural Bank of China (listed in Shanghai & Hong Kong) , DVN Holding Group (listed in Hong Kong), and the Shanghai International Port Group (listed in Shanghai) on various domestic and international legal and financial issues. Further, Mr. Luo has been working with FujiFilm Sericol, Spain Bodegas Lozano, Singapore Sembcorp Group, USA Certiport China, Shanghai Rainbow Chemical Co., Ltd., Shanghai Lema Digital technology Co. Rose Wang

Division Manager

 

Ms. Wang brings to Viking her 10 years of experience in the field of corporate finance and investments. Before joining Viking, Ms. Wang worked with Shanghai Xiangxu Corporate Management Consulting Company, Shanghai Guoning Investment Management Ltd and Haiwan Asset Management Company. In 2009, Ms. Wang, most notably, was instrumental in raising RMB 2.6 billion for a large real estate project.

 

In 2008, Ms. Wang was actively involved and spearheaded in the fund raising and exit-strategy consultation for a high-tech project in state #863 plan. During her work in the finance industry, Ms. Wang has established solid partnerships with various entities, including trust companies, banks, funds, securities companies, united assets and equity exchanges and government agents of different levels.
